Opening Night: Transmissions from The Fertile Void

The Northern Beaches is the epicenter for the Eastern Suburbs elite holiday homes and not-so-humble locals' sanctuary. An almost secluded peninsula playground of vast beauty and a scenic treasure trove.

An underrepresented side of the beaches is its thriving art scene. At the fore is a premier contemporary house of art, Hake House. On Friday 26th of April,  faces from across Sydney turned out for the opening of veteran artist and local icon, Marcie O’Neill’s, solo exhibition “Transmissions from the Fertile Void”.
Lubricated by Winona Wines, Northern Beaches, and Sydney’s wider art and culture game makers we’re given the first look at Marcie’s series of painted and sculpted works in a space where contradictions coexist, where the duality of light and dark, the known and the unknown, finds harmony.
